Bad week!!!!

I know I should be writing in this more than I am. But, I have been dealing with some personal family issues right now. My grandfather passed away last night and the family is taking it pretty hard. He lived a long life, he was 77 when he left us. I can only look forward to seeing him and my grandmother again.
But, if I don't write anything for awhile at least you will know why. I am waiting for details about the funeral arrangements. I have a long drive ahead of me. Rapid City, SD is pretty far from Fargo, ND especially when you will driving with two children 8 and 5. Also, add in their hamsters and it could get long.
I am getting a little behind with school work and I need to do some major study time in the next few days. Maybe that will keep my mind busy! Later

Finished!!!!!

I finally finished my homework and Chapter test for Math. I did not do too bad. I studied all week and finally had time today to finish everything.
It has been a busy week. At work I have two new hires to train. The blind leading the blind is all I can say about that. I am still unsure of a few things. But, I am told it will take time to catch on. I think I understand for the most part.
I need more time in a day!

One day down.

I started yesterday and it wasn't do bad. I thought learning the programs I would be using would be hard. But, actually they are easy to use. I just have two more tasks that are a little confusing. How to pull parts and circuit boards.
I have one mishap though. One of my team members built the product wrong. I caught it and we had to redo everything she did. But, it's understandable since she was new to the line and the work instructions were vague. But, the most important thing is we caught it.
I shipped my first product last night!!!! All in all my first night as a Team Lead was not so bad! Now let me see how many mistakes I made when I go in today!

Getting Excited!

One more day until I start my new position. I can't wait! It will be a change and a challenge. And the big plus, is no more night shifts. I can sleep!!!!!

End of the week! Finally!

The end of the week is finally here! It was especially long, we had overtime all weekend. With the holiday on Monday, we had a lot of shipments to meet. Plus, I am making a move from third shift to second shift on Tuesday.
This will be a welcome change for me. I have been working third shift for the past 7 years. Maybe now I can get a better sleep pattern. My children are very happy. I can snuggle with them at bedtime. There is nothing better than that!!!!
On Tuesday, it will be a new position, I made Team Lead. It has been a while since I have done this position. It was with a different company though. The duties will be different but, I will see how well I can adjust. I think the big problem will be the sleep pattern will change. I usually sleep 2-3 hours in the morning and 2 hours before work. Its hectic and tiring working third shift.
